COOKIES INFORMATION

Information for users about the processing of their personal data Pursuant to and in accordance with article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679

Inda Srl, Controller of the personal data collected through use of cookies and analogous technology on the website www.inda.net offers the following information in accordance with Art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) provision of 8 May 2014. This text provides useful information for understanding cookies and enabling/disabling cookies during browsing.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on the user’s terminal which come from the server of the website they are visiting. They contain information concerning the user’s navigation which can be read by the server that sent them in subsequent browsing sessions.
Cookies may come from the Controller of the data (so-called ‘first party’ cookies) or they may be ‘third party’ cookies. Third party cookies are special types of cookies, managed from a different site than the one on which the user is navigating but connected to it, for the management of particular types of content. They are usually images, sounds, links, or other items external to the site visited.

What are cookies for?
Cookies are used for several purposes, among these: to ease the execution of processes linked to web navigation, in order to automate some of the operations which otherwise would have to be repeated every time a site is navigated; to memorise information concerning the configuration of the user terminal; to memorise navigation preferences; and to check and control technical elements regarding the navigation session.

Types of cookies
Cookies can be of various types, depending on the type of data they memorise and how long they remain stored on the user's device. Session cookies are temporary and expire or are deleted when the browser is closed, and persistent ones have a longer expiration, depending on the functions they perform. These features distinguish cookies into two categories: ‘technical’ and ‘profiling’.

‘Technical cookies’ are:
− ‘Navigation’ or ‘session’ cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (allowing login to restricted areas, for instance), and ensure that it is not necessary to use other data processing techniques which could potentially compromise the navigation privacy levels for users, and which do not allow the acquisition of personal data which could identify the user;
− ‘Analytical’ first party or third party cookies which gather information in aggregate form on the number of users and how they access and use the site;
− ‘Function’ cookies, which allow user navigation on the basis of a series of selected criteria (for example, language) in order to improve the service provided.

‘Profiling’ cookies are used to create user profiles and subsequently to send advertising messages in accordance with the preferences expressed by the user within the site.

Which cookies we use:
This site uses ‘technical’ cookies to guarantee and facilitate navigation, allow use of the website, and to gather information, in aggregate form, of site visits. Both first party and third party cookies are used.

‘Profiling’ cookies are also used on the site.
The cookies used are indicated in the following table:

Managing cookies
Prior user consent is not required for the installation of third party technical and analytical cookies (in the latter case where tools have been adopted to reduce the ability of the cookies to identify the user and the third party does not cross-reference the information gathered with other information it already holds).
Installation of profiling cookies, on the other hand, even if they are only third party cookies, requires prior consent by the user. The user must express their consent to use said cookies, and this is also expressed if they do not officially accept but continue to navigate the site.
In any case, the user will see the informational banner about the presence of cookies, and by continuing to navigate the site, by clicking on any site element or image, or by simply scrolling down the page or closing the informational banner by clicking ‘OK’, the user consents to the cookies described herein.
Users can deactivate cookie functions in their browser settings, however this may slow or prevent access to sections of the site.
Consent to receiving cookies can also be expressed via specific browser configurations. Most browsers allow users to set rules for managing cookies sent by some or all sites, an option that gives users more precise control over their privacy and the possibility to either reject cookies or in any case to modify the previous settings.
Below you will find links to help documents explaining how to manage cookies for the most common web browsers.
